The Hermitage volunteer program is made up of two key groups. The Volunteers-In-Education program is a cooperative effort between the school and parents. The PTA coordinates and assists in scheduling parents who wish to volunteer some of their time to assist the school. This is a valuable program and a good way for parents to become involved with school activities. Senior citizens and Partners-In-Education also play a major role in the school's volunteer program. Please make plans to join one of these important groups.

| Bayside Public Library | The partnership with Bayside Public Library allows our teachers special services from circulation. They also display our art in the library. |
| Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek | Personnel Support Division This military organization initiated contact with us late in the 2001-2002 school year. They sponsor a valuable mentorship/tutoring program pairing at-risk students with military volunteers. |
| Make A Difference Foundation | Make a Difference Foundation offers tutoring services for students. Through grant funds they offer many programs for Hispanic members of the community. |
| Ocean Park Women's Club | This organization donates school supplies for our students in need. Members mentor and tutor first grade students. |
| Chick-Fil-A Haygood | Join us for our Chick-fil-a Nights! Check our calendar for dates and times! |
| Great Clips | This organization donates time to read with students and many prizes and games for our annual Family Fun Night. |
| Hermitage PTA | The Hermitage PTA works closely throughout the year to provide and develop enrichment programs that benefited the students. They conducted several orientation/training meetings for our volunteers. These volunteers-in-education assist students and teachers daily enriching the quality of education at Hermitage. |
